Atlantic Rider of the Week

Monika Saulnier and Squirt  Twenty-three year old Darbys My Daddy is a great beginning horse for five-year old Monika. Monika and Squirt live at Saddle Tramp Trail Riders Stable near Blackville, NB. No Canadian Exports Permitted

Effective July 27, 2001, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) will suspend the issuance of export permits for horses from Canada destined to European Union (EU) member states. The CFIA has made this decision because current regulations are not in compliance with the required oath statement regarding equine reportable diseases. No exports...

Eric Lamaze Wins World Cup Qualifier at Caledon Equestrian Festival

Riding Millcreek Raphael, Lamaze, 33, was one of only two riders to advance to the jump-off.  After watching 1996 Olympian Mac Cone of King, ON, and the nine-year-old grey mare Co Cu have eight faults in a time of 39.03 seconds in the jump-off, Lamaze opted for a slow and steady clear in a time of 41.92 seconds for the win. Changes to Gwenn's Judged Pleasure Ride

Gwenn's Judged Pleasure Ride is scheduled for Saturday, August 11th and the CTR is to be held on Sunday, August 12th. This is contrary to information in the ACTRA newsletter, the CaLDRA newsletter and Atlantic Horse & Pony. The judge preferred to make the change. For more information: 902-582-3463.

Cowboys in the cafeteria?!?! On a recent trip to the cafeteria, one of our Atlantic Riders spied a new treat: cowboy cookies! We found a recipe... and they sound delicious. Chocolate chips, rolled oats... YUM! Check out the recipe... then let us know how they turned out!
