Horses in Unexpected Places
You've undoubtedly heard of Nova Scotia's Electrobraid Fencing? It was developed for horses, but what about moose?!? In a recent radio interview, Mayor Andy Flanagan of Beldune, NB indicated that Electrobraid will be installed on five kilometres of highway in September. The test is designed to keep moose from wandering onto the roads - and into the paths of oncoming vehicles. Apparently it is already used successfully to contain moose in Newfoundland. Mayor Flanagan cited the low cost and portability of the fence as reasons for its use.
