Rider of the Week

Lacey Johnson and AJ's Serendipity, have been together for the past three years, and have loved every minute of it. "Dan" is a thirty-year old Canadian Cutting horse and has pulled logs in the woods of Ontario, competed in shows in the Maritimes and has even given children their first horseback ride. Dan is now retired and spends his days sleeping and eating with his fellow horse friends. The two currently live at Carter's Point, NB. Rider of the Week.

The Results Are In!

We are delighted with the participation in our first ever AtlanticRider.com poll! 466 votes were cast - 261 (56%)  preferred to ride English, while 205 (43%) voted in favor of Western. Pandora Proves to be a Winner - 2001 Cosequin Winter Equestrian Festival

Bull rider and US Equestrian Team Veteran, Todd Minikus of Loxahatchee, FL, captured the AmeriChoice Open Speed Competition of the Bayer/USET Gold Coast Classic aboard the 14 year-old Oldenburg mare, Pandora at Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club in Wellington. Minikus bested a starting field of 35 by  turning in a fast, clean ride of 56.23 seconds. Laura Chapot of Neshanic Station, NJ and the 16 year-old Thoroughbred, Star Twist finished in less than one second behind Minikus, turning in the second fastest time of 56.99 seconds.  Minikus and Chapot shut out McLain Ward and Margie Engle, the first and second place winner's of the Open Speed competition on January 24, opening day of the 2001 Cosequin Winter Equestrian Festival. There should be an exciting fight among the Top 10 riders in February, as many points earned in February 2000 will be dropped from their "account" a the end of the month.
