Millar and Daughter Lead Nations' Cup Team to Spruce Meadows
Ian Millar and his daughter, Amy, have been named as members of the Canadian Show Jumping Team for the $200,000 Bank of Montreal's Nations' Cup held Saturday, September 9 at the Spruce Meadows Masters tournament in Calgary, AB. More on the Nations' Cup, including television broadcast times.
Canadian Three Day Eventing Announces Olympic Individuals
The Three Day Event Selection Committee is pleased to announce that Kelli McMullen-Temple of Toronto, ON, and Wyndham St. John of Vancouver, BC, are the two nominated riders for the individual three day event competition at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, AUS, with Bruce Mandeville of Guelph, ON, named as alternate. USET Announces Show Jumping Team for 2000 Sydney Olympic Games
This marks the first time that all four riders on a U.S. Olympic show jumping squad are women. Hough is the youngest on the team and was a bit surprised to make it. Entering the final day of competition, Hough was in sixth place and was not really expecting to go to Sydney. She dropped her reins in excitement when it was announced that she had jumped into fourth place. A list of team members and further information.

Madden Wins Grand Prix
Beezie Madden from Casenovia, NY, riding Cockney II, won the Valkenswaard Grand Prix in The Netherlands on August 6, 2000. She beat Barcelona Olympic gold medalist, Germany's Ludger Beerbaum, riding Goldfever, by 0.31 seconds in a four-horse jump-off. Her prize winnings of 100,000 Dutch Guilder were boosted by an additional $25,000, presented by Pulsar Crown. More about the event.
