Horse Extravaganza & Trade Fair 2002 - May 18th

The 2002 Horse Extravaganza will include breed, club and stable demonstrations; youth opportunities; fashion show, and representatives from all aspects of the horse industry. The event will kick off at 10:00 am with an opening ceremony. Throughout the day there will be demonstrations and presentations from various breeds and clubs. "Lady" is a 20 year old quarter horse x paint mare. She is very quiet and was shown (western) in 4H and local competitions last summer. She is used to dogs, kids, other horses and cattle. Reason for selling is that my daughter has lost interest and I just don't have the time to spend on her that she deserves. Will be sold to good home only. $1400. (PEI)

I'm looking for a horse to buy or to keep at my house for the summer. If you don't want to sell your horse, but just need a place to keep him, and someone to ride him, I am willing to do that. Must be saddle trained. English or Western. I have moderate riding experience, I have taught riding camps and lessons, and I am in the Newfie Pony 4H club. The horse must already live in Newfoundland. (NF)

April 13:    NB Codiac Reining Association hosts a reining demonstration clinic at D & J Stables, Moncton, NB from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Clinicians are Don Adams and Mona Lewis. They will be demonstrating their training and showing techniques for all of the maneuvers involved in a reining class - circles, spins, rollbacks, sliding stops, and flying lead changes. The appropriately named "Bended Knee" Miniature Horse farm was in the news this week. The farm is home to twenty-three minis and "... is a frequent stop for bus-loads of children with handicaps and other groups." The owners also take their miniature horses to nursing homes!
