‘Speed’ is Yann Candele's middle name, as the rider from France proved in Saturday’s $25,000 Ville de Québec Open Speed competition, winning the event and also placing third and fifth. With his first ride of the day, Jade, a 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood mare owned by Martinwoods Farm, Candele set the standard, stopping the clock in a time of 63.82 seconds. Despite being only the fifth horse into the ring from a large field of 29 starters, Candele’s time held all the way to the end, as none who followed could meet the challenge. The results...

Canadian Karen Cudmore and Conejo Top Quebec City World Cup Qualifier

This pony is a looker! He works well in the ring, we have started him over fences, and he seems to enjoy it.He will make someone a nice hunter pony! He is road and trail safe. He is good to work around. He is a 14.1hh chestnut, Morgan/QH, but big build. I've started him at barrels, and I believe he will also excel at western gaming, and/or Prince Phillip Games. We have had him hooked up to a 4-wheel wagon without any blinders, and he didn't seem to mind it at all. (PEI)
I need a pair of western chaps size small/medium. Also I need a Western Bridle size cob and I am looking for a western saddle good condition is a must. (NF)

Jill Henselwood Off to Strong Start at Blainville Show Jumping Tournament
Despite the heat, Henselwood of Oxford Mills, ON, kept her cool to guide Fair Play, a Dutch Warmblood mare owned by Terri Brent, around the jump-off course in a time of 35.55 seconds to claim the win. The 39-year-old rider who runs Juniper Farms, located just south of Ottawa, was a member of Canada’s bronze medal show jumping team at the 1999 Pan American Games and is in the hunt for a berth on the Canadian Team headed to Spain for the World Equestrian Games, held every four years opposite the Olympic Games, in September.
