Michelle Cox and Apollo, are a team from near Moncton, NB. Michelle owns and operates both Maritime Saddle and Tack and Springbrook Stables. Michelle is well-known for her annual horse show. She is currently 'up to her ears' tabulating results for the Greater Moncton Horse Club's show circuit. Rider of the Week.

Sweepings...

Three young riders all passed their English Rider Level 1 test this summer.  Katelyn Short 12, Travis Smith 12, and Kelsey Boone 11, all ride out of Galloway Stables in Port Howe.  We wish these young riders congratulations from everyone at the stable. Galloway Stables is owned and operated by Dawn Lloy.  Many thanks go to their instructors also, Dawn Lloy, Bonnie Goodwin and Sue Fraser for all their guidance.

Canadian Dressage on Display at CDI-W Devon

Several Canadian dressage riders had stellar results at the CDI-W Dressage at Devon competition held September 29 to October 1 in Pennsylvania. The competition presented the final opportunity for Canadians to earn valuable World Cup qualifying points prior to the Swarovski Canadian League World Cup Final at Toronto's Royal Horse Show on November 8 and 9. 2000 All American Quarter Horse Congress Now Underway

The All American Quarter Horse Congress is sponsored annually by the Ohio Quarter Horse Association. It has grown to become the world's largest single breed horse show, and the third largest convention in the United States. The show is expected to bring more than 550,000 and more than 8,500 horses to Columbus during its three week run. More.

New Olympic Champion Is Now World Number 3

There are three new riders in the Top Ten of the FEI/BCM World Jumping Rider Rankings of 2 October 2000. One of them is the new Olympic Champion, Jeroen Dubbeldam, who moved from 15th to 3rd rank. Other new names in the Top Ten are Otto Becker (from 17th to 5th) and Lars Nieberg (from 12th to 7th). It is Dubbeldam's first appearance in the Top ten. Nieberg was among the 10 best riders of the world on 8 February 2000 for the last time, Becker in July 1992. More on the rankings...
