What's new at your barn? In your region? We would love to hear about what's going on! Share your sweepings by sending them to donna@atlanticrider.com!
High School Horse Club in Oromocto
Last year, a 'horsey' teacher at Oromocto High School started a club for students interested in horses. Since they got started, they have gone to watch shows, gone on stable visits, had guest speakers on everything from horse color to back health. Mostly they just get to spend one lunch hour each week talking with a group of people who understand what they mean when they say they got a surcingle for Christmas! Some of the members have more experience than the organizer, others have just started riding. Oromocto has a staff of 65 and 10 are interested in horses. They would like to challenge other high schools to start similar groups!
