Sunset Stables of Bayside (St. Andrews) congratulates April Charter on her new (and first) horse, I Am Dolls Duly, a three year old Quarter Horse gelding. April is loving "Solo's" gentleness and wonderful disposition while learning to ride and plans to attend many shows in the future.

Canada's Mike Winter Third at Camino Real Three Day Event
Winter, riding Tully Mars owned by Joanne MacCartney, was sitting in ninth with a penalty score of 60.8 following the first phase of dressage. With one of only two clear cross country rides, Winter, 26, and the American-bred thoroughbred-cross moved into third place, adding no penalties to their dressage score. In the final phase of stadium jumping, Winter jumped clearly, as did the other two leaders, leaving the top three placings unaltered. More on the event...

2001 Talent Squad Criteria Announced by Jump Canada
The Talent Squad is a means of recognizing up-and-coming horse/rider combinations with the potential to become future members of the Canadian Show Jumping Team. To be eligible for the Talent Squad program, riders must be a Canadian citizen, 16 years of age or older and must never have competed in Nations' Cup, World Cup Final, Olympic Games or World Championship competition. The contest drew entries from all over the United States and included entries from poets, children and lifelong fans. Participants were asked, in 150 words or less, to describe their favorite part of the newly-released book "America's Super Horse, The Story of Rugged Lark." More on this unusual contest...
Horses in Unexpected Places
Think your horse has become a bit portly over the winter? I know mine has... but it could be worse! The 'World's Largest Horse' was reported to be 21 hand high Percheron that weighed 3,940 pounds. How would you like that feed bill?! Check out his photo (taken in 1903)!
