Atlantic Rider of the Week

Tanya Steeves and Say So With Poise "Duke" is a four-year old Quarter Horse that Tanya leases from Shandi Mitton. Tanya is always ready with a smile and a helping hand for those who need it. Her positive attitude has won her several sportsmanship awards and makes her a young rider to watch. Rider of the Week.

Trail Ride New Brunswick 2001

The trail ride is on again for 2001. Last year's ride was a great success with seventeen riders making the trek from Fredericton to Perth Andover. The best part was that we raised money for the Fredericton Therapeutic Riding Club. This year the ride will be from Perth Andover to St. Quentin and is planned for August 19 - 25. The starting point is at Liz and Lou Sullivan's in Perth Andover (42 Bliss St). Great news! This year we have a cook, so all the meals will be provided. Learn how you can participate!

Horses in Unexpected Places

Every year the Queen's birthday is celebrated with a salute. This year the guardsmen's impeccable red coats were soaked and their 'shiny' dress shoes muddy. In spite of the weather, two white horses led the Queen's open carriage - fortunately the rain held off until she was safely seated under a canopy. It was said that the monarch, "... marked the occasion with a low-key private celebration, a 41-gun salute in Hyde Park and 21 guns at the Tower of London." Doesn't sound especially 'low key' to us!
