Atlantic Rider of the Week

Shauna McLean and Invest In This One
Shauna showed her student's filly (Invest In This One) who is out of her old show mare (Ima Fancy Sierra) at the June 30 - July 1 Show in Sussex, NB.
She came over all fist in lunge line out of nine and 4th in halter out of six. Shauna also has a mare (State Of Desire) which is three and she is doing well with her. She is also a very good teacher and deserves
it all. From all her students, we thank you for being there every step of the way.

Horse Quote for the Week

Horses will always be stronger than humans, but luckily we have a slight edge in the brains department, and through centuries of trial and error we have developed a number of effective ways of getting horses to do what we want.

Horses in Unexpected Places

We've all seen horses who like to eat (and drink!) unusual things... my first riding instructor had a horse who loved Country Time Lemonade. In fact, he loved it so much that if you placed an open can within reach of his lips, he would pick it up and drain it. My own horse had an affinity for McDonald's milkshakes (you have to stop somewhere when you're trailering from show to home and back again!). What does your horse enjoy? Chocolate bars? Cereal with milk? Bananas? Share your horse's cravings for a chance to win a prize in our latest contest. Have a picture of him/her enjoying their favourite treat? Send that along too!

If you enjoyed e-Rider, please forward it to a friend... or two!

Thank you for reading e-Rider… see you next week!
