Bob Kleberg, president of the King Ranch at the time, had several stallions in mind that he could send to the expo. In the end he chose Wimpy. The rest of the story...

Dream of Attending the Kentucky Derby?
Just about every horse person does! The "Road to the Roses" Challenge 2001 allows racing fans to select 15 horses, two jockeys and two trainers to represent them on the road to Kentucky Derby 127. As an added twist, players can only have five 'active' horses at any one time, making for some tough decisions on the big prep weekends. Prizes have been improved over last year, with this year's winner receiving an all-expense paid trip to Kentucky Derby 128! You can find the Fantasy Game at the Kentucky Derby website.
Horses in Unexpected Places
Have you ever visited the Museum of Modern Art? Like many Museums, you can now visit it online. In February, the Museum will feature a new exhibit, called "Workspheres." It features a very interesting image of a man on horseback (riding backward) using a laptop that is resting on the horse's rump. The work is called, "Letosh -- Working Snob." It is of silicon and Softeel lacquer, by Dan Grettve and Anna Lenskog. The photograph was taken by Ann Lindberg. Visit: http://edition.cnn.com/2000/CAREER/trends/10/16/moma/ and follow the link in "Before the Show."
