Millennium Ride Promotes Therapeutic Riding

In August 2000 a group of local horse people organized a trail ride from Fredericton to Perth Andover over a 6 day period to raise awareness of the Trans Canada Trail and the use of horses on it.  This event was called the Millennium Ride N.B.  Money raised from this ride was very generously donated to the Fredericton Therapeutic Riding Association for the purchase of equipment. Horses in Unexpected Places

Martha goes country!! A recent episode of Martha Stewart Living had her spend the day at a guest ranch. After a basic lesson on tacking up, she learned to roll up a duster and mount. The next lesson included roping a bucket as she learned both heading and heeling. Her instructor approved of her technique saying, "A twang from the bucket... that's a good thing!" Finally, Martha participated in cattle drive - along with her instructor and his eight-year old daughter... and three very talented dogs! Quite an accomplishment for just one day!
