Speed Demon Lamaze Claims Derby at Bromont Show Jumping Competition
Heavy rain and muddy conditions could not slow down Lamaze, who galloped around the one kilometer track that saw riders leaving the ring, gallop up the famous Bromont hill and jump four obstacles before galloping back down and into the ring to complete the course. Lamaze was the only rider to finish the competition clear...

FEI Junior Dressage Training Camp a Huge Success!!
The intensity of any Training Camp experience was accentuated for the Riders by the size of the group and because this week long “clinic” brought Eastern, Western and Central riders together at York Equestrian Centre, just east of Newmarket, Ontario. All twelve Juniors have expressed appreciation for the unique opportunities Training Camp offered; new learning, intensive riding, and new friends from across the country who share their intense love of dressage and their competitive goals. Rebecca Elming (16 years of age) of Ontario may have said it best; “ we all work alone at home and we’re always the youngest riders at this level. Here we are becoming friends and we have a chance to learn with, and from, others our own age struggling with the same riding challenges.” More about the Training Camp...
The FEI Junior Competition Countdown!
The Canadian FEI Junior Dressage Training Camp ended successfully on Friday, June 22, and the long journey to Ohio began on Saturday, June 23 at 10 am. The two International Horse Transport trailers were filled to the brim with hundreds of bales of hay and shavings, feed, equipment, trunks, and horse gizmos for the eleven-hour trip, and ten-day stay at Paxton Farms, Batavia, Ohio. Oh yes, and twelve horses too!! None of this would have happened without the tremendous support provided by Dr. Vicki Pringle, Dr. Alan Young, Anne Welch, and Jacqueline Brooks of York Equestrian Centre, Cedar Valley, Ontario. More on the countdown...

$10,000 Tourism Quebec Open Jumper competition, Sydney Olympian Pearce was one
of nine riders to advance to the jump-off. His blistering fast round of
36.92 seconds aboard the chestnut stallion, Harry Potter, could not be beat. More

Horses in Unexpected Places
Surprise! Unsuspecting new pony owners in England had no idea that they were getting a two-for-one deal when they purchased a shetland pony from a wildlife park. "Tilly" had been kept in a field with a male zebra so she presented her new owners with a cute bay foal... with stripes! Check out the photo!
