Tips for Great Classified Ads

More than 200 have been added to the website since we launched our new classified system last week! But not all ads are created equal. There are a few simple ways to ensure that people take note of your ad. Even if your typing skills aren't great, take time to use both upper and lower case letters. Using all caps equates to YELLING at the reader. Make sure you proof read your ad for correct spelling and terms (if you notice a mistake later, you can go back in and modify your ad). Whenever possible, include a photo with your ad. If you don't have a scanner, most computer stores will scan a photo for a small charge (ask them for jpg format). Finally, provide as many ways as possible for people to contact you: phone number, email, alternate phone number, etc. If you follow these tips, you will surely sell your item more quickly.

Riley Wins First Grand Prix in Tampa by a Hair

2000 Budweiser American Invitational winner, Scuyler Riley of Wellington, FL, was in the winner’s circle aboard the 11 year-old Dutch-bred gelding, Ilian, in the $25,000 Sheraton Four Points Inn Challenge Cup at the Cosequin Winter Equestrian Festival on Thursday.  Riley was one of eight horse and rider combinations out of a starting field of 80 to clear the 12 obstacle jumping course.  She cleared the course in 69.34seconds, just splits faster than 2000 Olympian, Lauren Hough aboard the Holsteiner, Windy City.  Hough clocked in at 69.967 seconds, followed by 1998 Budweiser AGA Rider of the year, McLain Ward who finished in 70.02 up on the 9 year-old Selle Frances, Galileo.  Riley is guaranteed a place in the starting line-up for the $200,000 Budweiser American Invitational on March 31, 2001 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida because she is the defending Champion. The complete results...

Update on the World Cup Final in Goteborg (SWE)

Sweden will only allow horses into the country, if these horses have been resident in an Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD)-free country for the last 14 days prior to their arrival in Sweden. Horse Quote for the Week

The right way to do almost anything with horses is mainly a matter of using your natural intelligence in an uncomplicated manner, and this holds true also for the rider's basic mounted position. Simplicity and economy of movement are the goals of classical technique; the position of the rider upon the horse is the first fundamental.
