Champagne Pleasure...

The Nova Scotia Appaloosa Horse Club is hosting a champagne pleasure class at their show (Lawrencetown, NS) this weekend (September 1st - 2nd). An Open English Pleasure Stake will take place before Saturday's English Division classes and an Open Western Pleasure Stake will be judged by the show's other judge. The top six in each class will move on to the champagne pleasure class. The winner will receive: ice bucket, dozen roses, and a bottle of Domaine de Grand Pré's finer wine. Sweepings...

Congratulations!!! to Darryl and Karen Murphy (Silverwood Stables, Corner Brook, NF) and Julie Rank upon returning Aug. 26 from the 85th Cape Breton Exhibition in North Sydney.  Where they showed Ledo Glow Star aka "Skippy" and Generals Approval aka "Houston".  They brought home 13 ribbons, including two firsts, two seconds, three thirds, two fourths, one fifth and three sixths.  This was Julie's first show and she rode Skippy in Beginner Pleasure were they achieved first place.  She has been riding under Darryl's instruction for the past two years.   Both Darryl and Karen are CEF Level I Western Coaches.  A successful year to date.
