A Double Hit
for Pop Art and
Ottawa, Ontario—Canadian
double Olympian
Riding Pop Art (Amsterdam x
Cabouchon), a 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by Holzer and Ian Nicoll,
Holzer scored 70.708% in the Grand Prix test. The duo then performed their
popular freestyle to earn 73.550% for the double victory.
The Grand Prix Freestyle also
saw Olympian Cindy Ishoy, of Jerseyville, ON, ride down the centerline with
Proton (Patriarch x Rosenkavalier), a 10-year-old Baden Wurttemberg gelding. The
pair scored 67.100% for seventh place.
Top Canadian placings could
also be found in the Advanced division. Chris Von Martels of Ridgetown,
ON, and Korenbloem Charmeur (Charmant x Demokratin), a 15-year-old Westphalian
owned Dr. Patricia Tomney, warmed up with a sixth place finish in Prix
St. Georges class (64.250%) before going on to place second in the Intermediaire
I with a score of 66.500%.

In the FEI Junior division, Annie-Pier
Venne of Charlemange, QC rode to
victory in the FEI Junior Freestyle aboard her 11-year-old Westphalian
Step Up (Rouletto x Amourett) with a score of
67.050%.
