Stables in Simonds, New Brunswick are thrilled to announce the
birth of "Leo Gete" (pronounced Getty). This
beautiful dun colt was born to Gummi Bear on Thursday, June 21 at
5:50 am. Owned and loved by Chelsea D'Souza, Leo is our
first baby and we look forward to watching him grow. His
father is a handsome registered Quarter Horse owned by the
Taylor Family of Hartland. A huge thanks to Dr. Rob
Arnott and his assistant Mary Ellen for all their help and
patience.

Linda & Wally
Lemmon of Linwal Acres Morgans (near Sussex, NB) received a
pleasant surprise when they made their trip to the barn this
morning (June 24th). Their mare, Vonavet Amber Vanity,
presented them with a bay filly born about a week earlier than
planned. The sire is Subsequent Event (Oscar) owned by
Melissa McKenzie of Hampton, NB. The mare and foal are doing
well and everyone is very excited as this is the first Morgan foal
at Linwal Acres in four years.

little girl is Bittersweet Brandi, foaled just yesterday, May 26.
Her sire is our Arabian LW Elector (bay) and her dam is our
registered Welsh mare Alderdale Joy (grey). But as you can see,
Brandi is fiery chestnut, hence her name. We were prepared for
almost anything but this [and also prepared for a foal from June 5
on - this one is a tad early]! She has a big blaze, white
diagonal socks and four little pinkish hooves, so there must be
touches of minimal white at the coronary band somewhere on the other
two. Very colorful little character! |
