Kaleigh Bennicke and "Ebony" June's Rider of the Month is Kaleigh Bennicke and her seven-year old registered Appaloosa mare, A Material Girl (aka. "Ebony"). Kaleigh rides at Char-Lee Horse Stables in Shelburne County, NS. She has been riding for three years and showing for two. The pair always do very well during show season, as Kaleigh is one of the most dedicated kids you'll see in a barn. No one ever thought a ten-year old girl could ride Ebony - she can be quite a handful - but Kaleigh's determination has proved everyone wrong! She has been riding Western for the past years, but has discovered a new love in English riding. When Kaleigh isn't riding - which is a rare occasion - she is helping everyone else around the barn. |
