Rider of the Week:
15 November 2000

Joey Sampson

Joey Sampson
has been riding since the age of 18 months, and entered her first walk/trot class at age two. She has shown as far away as Nevada and showed English, Western, and Harness as a child. At age ten she became a student of Jim Durling at Equine Excellence and today concentrates mostly on Western disciplines. She is a certified CEF Western Level 1 Coach and spent the past year teaching and training at Middleton Meadows. Most weekends found her showing her QH gelding, My Secret Weapon (Jed), in performance and gymkhana classes and cattle penning. In her 'spare' time she was organizing and judging horse shows and participating in overnight trail rides. On November 1st she started working with Donald Fancy at Blue Hills Farm in Bridgewater. If there's life outside the horse industry, Joey hasn't discovered it yet.
