Appaloosa Horse Club of Nova Scotia Youth Team
competed successfully at the Canadian National Appaloosa Show in 2000.
Each girl earned anywhere from five to nine Top Eight ribbons and many were Top Five or better. Two returned home as national champions: Courtney Casey in the open Western Equitation 14-18, and Natalia Tate in the Youth Team Trail Horse event. Candace
and Natalia teamed up to collect second place for the Team Native Pageant,
in which Candace and her mount wore an authentic Lakota Sioux outift and
Natalia delivered a spoken commentary, with each component worth 50% of the
total. Jillian Bishop earned the coveted Sportsmanship Award, chosen from among all youth teams at the show. Congratulations on representing Atlantic Canada Riders so well - we're proud of you!
